Introduction
2-1-1 is a poker-based game similar to Texas Hold 'Em.
Rules
The following rules assume the reader already understands the basics of poker rules and terminology.
- Players each make an ante bet.
- Each player gets THREE hole cards.
- There is a first round of betting.
- Dealer deals a TWO card flop.
- There is a second round of betting.
- Dealer deals the turn card.
- There is a third round of betting.
- Dealer deals the river card.
- There is a fourth round of betting.
- The pot is split between the best high and low hands. However, the low must be an 8-high or lower, otherwise the high hand wins the entire pot.
- For purposes of the low hand, aces are low and straight and flushes are not enforced.
- There are no restrictions on which cards the player may use.
In other words, the game is like Texas Hold 'Em, except each player gets three hole cards and the flop is two cards. Then the pot is split high-low, with an 8-high or less required to win the low.
