Block Pro Blackjack
Introduction
Block Pro Blackjack is a blackjack side bet based on the player's first two cards and the dealer's up card. It can be found in some casinos in South Africa on 5-, 6- and 8-deck games. Following is an explanation of the winning hands. Please note that all winning hands must be three cards of the same suit.
- Triple Aces: Players initial two cards and dealer up card are all suited aces. Pays 100% of the progressive jackpot.
- Triple Royal: Players initial two cards and dealer up card are all the same face card and suited . Pays 20% of the progressive jackpot.
- Triple: Players initial two cards and dealer up card are all the same rank of 2's to 10's and suited . Pays 10% of the progressive jackpot.
- Suited pair: Player first two cards form a suited pair and the dealer's up card is of the same suit. Pays 50 to 1.
- Flush: Players initial two cards and dealer up card are suited. Pays 5 to 1.
Game literature by TCS John Huxley kindly explains that the jackpot reseed is $2,000 and the contribution rate can be 65% or 70%. The minimum bet to qualify for the progressive prizes is $1. Fixed wins are deducted from the jackpot meter. Contrary to what the literature says, I believe that the pays are on a "for one" basis.
