Mini Roulette
Introduction
Mini Roulette is a simple roulette game based on a 13-number wheel. It can be found at Internet casinos using Playtech software under the "Arcade Games" menu.
Rules
- The game is played on a 13-number wheel, with numbers 0 to 12.
- The following bets are available:
- Even money bets: Red, Black, Odd, Even, 1 to 6, 4 to 9, 7 to 12.
- 2 to 1 bets: Columns, squares (four numbers), 0-1-2-3.
- 3 to 1 bets: Rows, 0-1-2, 0-2-3.
- 5 to 1 bets: Splits (two numbers).
- 11 to 1 bets: Any single number.
- Contrary to what the game help file says, any bet that does not cover the number zero will lose only half if the ball lands in zero.
Analysis
Any bet that does not cover zero will have a house edge of 3.85%. Any bet that does cover zero will have a house edge of 7.69%.
Strategy
Never bet on anything that covers the number zero. This includes the number zero, 0-2, 0-1-2, 0-2-3, and 0-1-2-3.
InBet Version
Since writing this page about the Playtech version, I encountered another, by InBet software. This version offered the following bets:
- Specific number — Pays 11 to 1
- Red, Black, Low (1 to 6), High (7 to 12) — Pays 1 to 1
All bets in this version have a house edge of 1/13, or 7.69%.
