Double Bonus Poker Plus

Introduction

Double Bonus Poker Plus is a video poker variant I noticed on IGT Game King machines at the Hard Rock casino in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It is characterized for paying extra for certain four of a kinds if the four cards are adjacent. I understand that IGT has discontinued selling the game but old ones are still lingering out there, especially outside the United States. I also have an unconfirmed report that that Texas Station in Las Vegas has the game somewhere.

Strategy Tip

I don't know of any software that can create strategies for games where the order of the cards is significant. However, the benefit of strategy deviations based on card position is worth only 0.01%. To get a near perfect strategy, use a strategy maker, like my own video poker strategy calculator. First, select Double Bonus as the game. Second, enter a blended average of the four of a kind wins. Specifically 256 for four aces and 112 for four 2s, 3s, and 4s.
