This was the tale of two very bad teams. The struggling Arizona Cardinals got their first win of their season as their rookie quarterback as well as the number one overall draft pick of the 2019 NFL draft, Kyler Murray, got his first career win. After the Cincinnati Bengals tied the game late, Murray took control of the Cardinals offense driving his team downfield with both his arm and his legs. Arizona won the contest on a field goal on the final play of the game.

This was a defensive showdown that goes to show you that game management and taking care of the ball by not turning it over and limiting mistakes can win you a football game in today’s NFL. Josh Allen played well in this situation, and the Bills win putting them at a surprising 4-1 record going into their bye week.

This was one crazy match up that took place in London. The Oakland Raiders came out really strong with an outstanding game plan to counter the Chicago Bears relentless defense. The Raiders played physical by pounding the ball down the field as well as finding open receivers underneath Chicago’s coverage. Oakland destroyed the Bears in the first half with a 17-0 lead heading into halftime.
The Chicago Bears retaliated by putting up an amazing fight in the third quarter. They scored 21 straight unanswered points as the Bears took their first lead of the game. Chicago’s defense came to life man handling the Raiders offensive attack. The Bears turned the ball over and seemed to have everything falling into place for them. This game was decided in the last couple of drives in the contest. The Raiders scored a late touchdown to take the lead by three points. As Chicago drove late trying to make it into field goal range for a game tying kick back up quarterback, Chase Daniel, was intercepted which iced the game for an Oakland victory.

The New Orleans Saints continue to play well without the services of their superstar quarterback, Drew Brees. This reveals just how good this Saints team is. I have a feeling they will make it back to the Super Bowl out of the NFC this season as long as they get Brees back healthy and do not suffer anymore major injuries to the important skill players on their roster such as Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas.
The Buccaneers are an average team that seems to be playing better now, but they are not expected to beat the elite teams in the NFL. The game in London this upcoming weekend is important for both the Carolina Panthers as well as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After a rough loss the previous week to the Chicago Bears the Minnesota Vikings bounced back with solid win, but let’s remember it was against the rebuilding and soft threat of the New York Giants. Nonetheless, Dalvin Cook returned to being one of the NFL’s premier rushers. One week after calling out his quarterback, Adam Thielen was hit with big time passes as he had a monster game finding the endzone twice in this much needed win for the Minnesota Vikings. The game next week between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings should shape up to be a telling match determining rankings in the highly competitive National Football Conference.

As we all know the New York Jets are a bottom of the barrel team, and the expectations for them are extremely low, but the Philadelphia Eagles continue to try and convince everyone that they are the NFC powerhouse that should not be taken lightly. The Eagles scored early and often balancing their offensive attack well as they defeated the Jets easily last Sunday.

This was a close game that ended up finishing in an overtime period. The Ravens hung on to win in this divisional battle. Baltimore looked like of the best teams in the National Football League after the first few games, but they have been possibly be exposed to flaws for other teams to exploit in order to keep them in check.
A scary moment in this game occurred after the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mason Rudolph, absorbed a hit to the head which necessitated immediate on the field medical attention. They ended up taking his facemask off of his helmet but left the helmet on as he was taken off of the field. The devastating hit Rudolph’s chin caused him to suffer a severe concussion. The Steelers will now look to their third string quarterback, Delvin Hodges, to lead their offense into battle now. Hodges is a rookie undrafted free agent quarterback who will be on display next week on Sunday Night Football from Los Angeles as the Steelers will meet the Chargers.

This is once again another story of a great team if not the best one in the NFL facing an extremely poor team in the Washington Redskins. The New England Patriots proved to be too much of a strong opponent for the Redskins to handle. It seems like the Patriots have such a weak schedule as next week they play the 2-3 New York Giants on Thursday Night Football and yes, they are the home team. Good luck New York.

The Carolina Panthers continued to do what has been working for them and punish the opposing team with a very heavy dose of Christian McCaffrey. The superstar running back had a monster game. McCaffrey had 176 rushing yards, 237 totals yards from scrimmage as well as three touchdowns. The Panthers improve to 3-2 as they stay in the hunt by utilizing their assets well. The Jacksonville Jaguars have a lot of issues, and Jalen Ramsey is still demanding to be traded even though the Jaguars are reluctant to do so.

Deshaun Watson of the Houston Texans had possibly his best performance of the year so far. He went 28-33 with 426 yards through the air. Most impressively Watson threw for five touchdowns as the Houston Texans dominated the highly underperforming Atlanta Falcons. Hopefully Atlanta can find a way to beat the Arizona Cardinals the next game and try to build on that in order to turn their bad season around.

Denver scored the majority of their points early in this game, and it was just enough for them to hang on and earn their first win of the season in 2019. Phillip Lindsay had a strong effort on his 15 carries by racking up 114 yards on the ground and rushing for a touchdown. The Los Angeles Chargers may find it difficult to make the playoffs if they keep losing games like this one to the previously winless Denver Broncos while playing at home.

The determined Green Bay Packers put up a huge first half lead of 17 points on their way to getting an important win on the road against the Cowboys in Dallas yesterday afternoon. Aaron Jones really helped the Packers by rushing for 107 yards and getting into the endzone four times for touchdowns. The Dallas Cowboys now have lost two consecutive games, but luckily they are playing the 0-4 New York Jets next week so hopefully they can turn things around.

This was a spectacular game to watch and I am glad it was on Thursday Night Football. Russell Wilson proved once again why he is a top notch quarterback in the National Football League and why the Seattle Seahawks found it necessary to sign him to the huge contract extension the last NFL offseason.
Despite the four touchdown performance from Wilson the Los Angeles Rams had a chance to win the game on a 44 yard field goal with only 11 seconds left on the game clock. Unfortunately for the Rams their place kicker, Greg Zuerlein, missed that game winning field goal as the Seahawks went on to win putting them at the exceptional mark of 4-1 for the young season.

The Andrew Luckless Indianapolis Colts really came to play at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday Night Football. Their defense really limited Patrick Mahomes to only one touchdown. The Colts utilized their run game well as Marlon Mack picked up 132 yards on the ground over his 29 carries. Indianapolis is surprisingly a fairly decent team this year, and they should be overlooked by their opponents. Next week’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans should be a great game to take in.

The San Francisco 49ers dominated the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football in front of a large national audience. Question marks are going to begin appearing around the Browns after they entered the 2019-2020 NFL season. Now on the other hand the San Francisco Forty Niners looked good again as they played well in pretty much every aspect of the game. Their match up against the Seattle Seahawks will be a statement game for both organizations.
