- Hank Aaron hits his last MLB home run. This was his 755th home run establishing Aaron as the home run champion at that time.
July 21st, 1989
- Mike Tyson defeated Carl Williams by TKO in the first round of the fight.
July 22nd, 1923
- Walter Johnson strikes out his 3,000th MLB batter. He is the first Major League Baseball player to reach this milestone.
July 23rd, 1866
- The Cincinnati Reds baseball club is established.
July 24th, 2005
- Lance Armstrong wins his 7th straight Tour de France which is a cycling record.
July 25th, 2005
- The NHL ends their 2004 – 2005 lockout.
