Introduction

7Mojos is an online betting software developer that’s based out of Bulgaria. The company specializes in developing and broadcasting live dealer games to casino clients around the globe, and they’ve made a name for their production values, delivering high definition visuals and solid interaction between players and dealers.

7Mojos does also develop slot machine and skill games. The company has a small but diverse library, with different themes and features in their setup. The company is registered with the Ministry of Finance in their native Bulgaria and claims a license from Malta, going by seals on the bottom of their web pages. Several of the live games and a few of the slots have been tested and approved by Gaming Laboratories International, LLC (GLI).

With so many live dealer providers in the marketplace now it's nice to see one come along with a more well-rounded portfolio by offering slots and other RNG games like Dragon Tiger and Baccarat. Along with a closer look at their live blackjack, live baccarat, and live roulette below we'll flesh out a couple of their slots and give you a final impression of them.

As they continue to evolve, I think that we’re going to see 7Mojos continuing their expansion into the live dealer market. Without a doubt, there’s going to be more movement into the roulette and blackjack segments, and I think we’ll see other popular table games being developed and offered. The future is bright for 7Mojos, and I’m excited to see what they come up with next.

Roulette

Roulette

The roulette game is single-zero, which results in a house edge of 2.70% on every bet.

Blackjack

Unlimited Blackjack

All I have to go on about the blackjack rules are screenshots of the game from the Mojos web site. They indicate the dealer stands on a soft 17 and does not take a hole card. Live dealer blackjack games online are invariably dealt from a shoe, usually with eight decks. Assuming the player may double on any initial two-card and double after a split is allowed, the house edge would be 0.61%. If double after a split is not allowed, then it would be 0.73%.

Unlimited Blackjack is also available, which is a way for an unlimited number of players to play the same hand. I assume the blackjack rules and side bets are the same as the standard blackjack game.

The following two side bets are offered in both blackjack games.

  • Perfect Pairs — The 6-12-25 side bet is followed. Assuming eight decks, the house edge is 4.10%.
  • 21+3 — The 5-10-25-40-100 side bet is followed. Assuming eight decks, the house edge is 6.29%.

Baccarat

Baccarat

I can't tell from the screenshots whether they offer conventional baccarat, where a winning Banker bet pays 0.95 to 1, or the Nepal variant, where a winning Banker pays 1 to 1, except a Banker with with six points pays 1 to 2. The reason I suspect it may be the Nepal variant is they offer the Super 6 side bet, which generally is only seen on that game.

The following bets are offered in baccarat.

  • Player -- Pays 1 to 1 -- House edge of 1.24%
  • Banker -- ?
  • Tie -- Pays 8 to 1 -- House edge of 14.36%
  • Player Pair -- Pays 11 to 1 -- House edge of 10.36%
  • Banker Pair -- Pays 11 to 1 -- House edge of 10.36%
  • Either Pair -- Pays 5 to 1 -- House edge of 13.71%
  • Perfect Pair -- Pays 25 to 1 -- House edge of 13.03%
  • Small (total of four cards) -- Pays 1.5 to 1 -- House edge of 5.28%.
  • Big (total of five or six cards) -- Pays 0.54 to 1 -- House edge of 4.35%.
  • Super 6 (Banker has winning total of six) -- Pays 15 to 1 -- House edge of 13.82%

As to the Banker bet, the house edge is 1.06% under conventional baccarat and 1.46% under the Nepal variant.

Wild Bandidos

It would be an understatement to say the 7Mojo slots are dated. This is what most games looked like in the mid 90's. The game play is pretty simple on all of them -- five reels with a free spin bonus. I suspect many games are skins (copies of another game with a different theme).

The 7Mojo web site is kind enough to disclose the return of their slots. I checked five at random, which were as follows:

  • Wild Bandidos -- 95.0095%
  • Fortune Genie -- 95.0676%
  • Big5 Africa -- 95.2364%
  • Underwater Adventure -- 94.2023%
  • Age of Cleopatra -- 95.1041%

Wild Banditos

If you’ve ever wanted to be a notorious gunslinger now’s your chance with 7Mojos’ Wild Bandidos, where you can step into the boots of an outlaw in the Old West.

Wild Bandidos is a video slot with a 5x3 reel setup and 30 paylines released on February 1, 2021. The game has a 95.01% RTP and a high hit rate, but no percentage or frequencies are revealed in the digital literature. The hit rate, return to player percentage and soft volatility make it a good choice for players who like frequent wins, even if they are in the low to middle range. With low to medium volatility the payouts tend to be smaller but come around often, providing consistent action.

Anecdotally, you’ll get a small win on more than half of your spins but the payouts are pretty low. Feature frequency isn’t listed but it triggers fairly often. There are no enhancements like multipliers when you are enjoying free spins, but they can be triggered again with an additional 10 games awarded each time you land three scatters. You can’t land more than three because they are only found on the central three reel strips and aren’t stacked on those reels.

If you’re looking for frequent payouts and a classic Western theme without heavy swings, Wild Bandidos could be a fun pick. Its low to medium volatility keeps the risk manageable while delivering a steady dose of Old West action.

Big5 Africa

Are you the hunter or the hunted? Step into Big5 Africa and discover the thrill of Africa’s wild!

Released on February 1, 2021, Big5 Africa is a video slot that takes you deep into the savannas with a 5x3 reel setup and 30 paylines. The slot comes with a 95.24% RTP, a low hit rate, and medium to high volatility, so expect fewer wins, but with the potential for bigger payouts when they hit.

Big5 Africa’s graphics and sounds can take you to the heart of the African wilderness, with symbols featuring the continent’s iconic wildlife—the “Big Five” - giving every spin the feeling of a real safari adventure if you let yourself get carried away. It’s not what we’d call an immersive game on the scale of most of the other safari-themed slots out there. I wouldn’t place it at the absolute bottom of a list of nearly 70 similar games, but it comes in with no real redeeming factors as far as engagement goes. It’s roughly similar to something RTG would have put out at the beginning of the Aussie Slots era, like Cleopatra’s Gold or Achilles but lacking anticipation triggers and win celebrations that mean much to the experience.

On the other hand, the artwork is far superior to any slots of that time with elephant’s heads protruding from their reel positions and a 3D NPC sort of African woman slot host standing by the reels and slightly swaying but never engaging like a Betsoft slot hostess might.

The same mechanics as all of the other games I tried are in play here with the ability to turbo spin or click any reel to make it stop spinning first. The slots have a gamble game (Choose Red or Black) with up to six doubles possible.

For players looking for a slot that’s a bit riskier but can give you bigger payouts, Big5 Africa is an agreeable choice. It has a mix of bold visuals to augment an adventure atmosphere and the paytable will make it attractive to players who don’t mind a few blank spins - it’s a thrill-seeker’s slot with a basic pathway to wins or losses.

Conclusion

The slots add value to the 7Mojos product but it seems like some of them were created “tongue in cheek”. Cook the Chef and Fizzling Hot 20 come to mind. Others are just on the edge of horrible in their aesthetics - Pixie Charm presents nubile nymphs that are anything but attractive - Adventure Saga looks and feels like some bolt-on unknown provider slot you’d find at a sports book site in the late 90s or early 2000s.

The good news is that some of them are quite playable and since they’ve passed muster with GLI, we know the random number generator is fair. However, we were unable to confirm the company is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, or anywhere else under the 7Mojos trade name. They present the symbol of the Ministry of Finance of Bulgaria but the National Revenue Agency (NRA) of the ministry which is responsible for licensing doesn’t publish a public roster of licensees. As we noted in the introduction, several live games and a few slots have been certified by GLI. With that, I’d stick to one of the casinos we recommend and away from any unlicensed sites that might carry the games.
