SmartSoft Gaming Software & 13 Online Casinos Reviewed

Introduction
SmartSoft Gaming is a software developer, based in the country of Georgia, that was formed in 2015. It is one of a shrinking number of developers that design both slots and table games. The company has put out some slots with brilliant looking visuals, and they also have several table games like Roulette, Pai Gow Poker, Sic Bo, Caribbean Stud Poker, and more. There's also scratch cards, Keno, and even backgammon available for play.
SmartSoft is still a smaller developer, with about 20 employees as of the publication of this review. If they continue to put out high-quality games like we're seeing, there's a reasonable chance that they'll catch on with some game aggregates and will have an increased presence at casinos around the world.

JetX
JetX is game based on a spaceship that increases in altitude exponentially. However, at some point it will explode. The player's role is to bet on whether or not the pilot will reach any chosen altitude to eject before the explosion.
For the full rules and analysis, please see my page on JetX.
Roulette
I'm told the roulette games SmartSoft has ready for real money bets are Virtual Classic Roulette, Personal Mini Roulette, and Virtual Mini Roulette. Their web site has two demo games, which was all I could try out. I am not sure if Personal Roulette and Personal Mini Roulette are the same thing.
The web site also has a game called Bonus Roulette, in which the player may parlay winnings on a bonus wheel. The table below shows the slices on the bonus wheel. The lower right cell indicates an average return of 100% on the bonus wheel. As long as you're gambling, why not take advantage of an opportunity with no house edge?

Total | 17 | 1.000000 | 1.000000 |
Sic Bo
The sic bo game follows rather stingy odds, as shown in the table below.

Mini Roulette
SmartSoft mentions two Mini Roulette games on their web site, but I could get only the Personal Mini Roulette version to work. The game is the same thing as conventional roulette, except with a 13-number wheel. This results in a house edge of 1/13 = 7.69% on every bet.
Three Card Poker
SmartSoft calls their Three Card Poker game 3 Card Poker. They also change the name of the Pair Plus side bet to the Pair Pluse. Interestingly, they do allow the player to play up to five hands.
The help files don't state the pay tables for the Ante Bonus, except to say a straight flush pays 6 to 1, nor the "Pair Pluse," so I'm afraid I can't offer an analysis of the odds.
Fast Poker
Fast Poker is a simple game of luck based on a random five-card hand from a depleted 20-card deck. I have a full page devoted to Fast Four. The bottom line is a house edge of 11.64%, so play this on in moderation, if you must play at all.
I am told this game is still under development and not ready available for real money bets.
Caribbean Stud Poker
SmartSoft follows the standard rules for Caribbean Stud Poker. The U.S. 100-50-20-7-5-4-3-2-1-1 pay table is used for a house edge of 5.22%. The ratio of the expected loss to total amount bet between the Ante and Raise, known as the element of risk, is 2.56%.
However, the side bet follows the extremely stingy pay table seen below. Pays are on a "for one" basis.
SmartSoft Sic Bo
Bet | Pays | Combinations | Probability | Return |
---|---|---|---|---|
Royal flush | 1000 | 4 | 0.000002 | 0.001539 |

All other | 0 | 2,524,332 | 0.971285 | 0.000000 |
Total | 2,598,960 | 1.000000 | 0.273757 |
The lower right cell shows a return of 27.38%. That equates to a house edge of 72.62%! For that, SmartSoft gets the Wizard finger wagging of shame.
I am told this game is still under development and not available for real money bets.
Casino Hold 'Em
SmartSoft calls their Casino Hold 'Em game "Texas Hold 'Em." They follow the generous 100-20-10-3-2-1 pay table for a house edge of 0.35%. On the side bet they follow the 100-25-25-25-7-7-7-7 pay table for a house edge of 6.40%.
I am told this game is still under development and not available for real money bets.
Tournament Games
I don't know much about them, but the SmartSoft web site mentions the following games may be played in tournament mode:
- Blackjack
- Jap. poker
- Backgammon
- Domino
- Seka
- Bura
Keno
Classic Keno and Personal Keno seem like the same thing to me. They both follow the following pay table. There is another game called Russian Keno, but I couldn't get it to work.
Classic Keno and Personal Keno — Pay Table
Catch | Pick 1 | Pick 2 | Pick 3 | Pick 4 | Pick 5 | Pick 6 | Pick 7 | Pick 8 | Pick 9 | Pick 10 |

The next table shows the expected return by number of picks.
Classic Keno and Personal KenoReturn Table
Pick | Return |
---|---|
1 | 75.00% |
2 | 98.10% |
3 | 90.19% |
4 | 95.15% |
5 | 86.08% |
6 | 94.44% |
7 | 89.29% |
8 | 84.01% |
9 | 93.85% |
10 | 92.77% |
As you can see, the return is all over the place from 75% to 98.1%, so be careful how you play this one.
I am told this game is still under development and not available for real money bets.
Cappadocia
This game appears to be a close skin of JetX.
Honey World
Honey World is a scratch card game. There are three sets of honeycombs with a prize behind each cell. If any honeycomb contains three of the same prize, that is what the player wins.
The game return is not disclosed.
I am told this game is still under development and not available for real money bets.
Drag Race
This is a simple game of betting on which car will win a six-car race. They all evidently have the same chance, because each pays 5.4 for 1 if it wins. This equates to a return to player of 90% or a house edge of 10%, which I think is rather high.
I am told this game is still under development and not available for real money bets.
Slots
The SmartSoft Gaming web site indicates 26 slot games. I sampled several of them and they are average, at best, in terms of graphics, sound, and exciting game play.
The help file do not indicate a return percentage, but SmartSoft was kind enough to share some promotional information about two of their slots with me. They indicate the following returns:
- Burning Ice — 98.4%
- Magic Garden 10 — 98.9%
98.9% is the most generous return I have ever seen in an online slot machine! However, I must say that I'm taking SmartSoft at their word on the return. Such a high return is well outside of industry norms.
